How to Earn a Full Scholarship To Princeton University – Ivy League Edition

Princeton university had been revered for years along with Harvard, Brown, Yale, Cornell, Columbia, Dartmouth Ivy League Universities. You may have heard of the full coverage scholarships that are readily available each year for specific eligible students that fit the universities criteria.

The know but not so known fact about Princeton University is that they offer full coverage 4-year scholarships to students whose families earn below $100,000. Princeton’s President Christopher L. Eisgruber did announce that this full scholarship will be available starting in the Fall of 2023. This scholarship will allow students whose families income does not amount to an annual total of $100,000 or under. Previously there was an undergraduate scholarship that was instated for student’s whose families did not make a total annual income of $65,000.

For this new instated undergraduate full coverage scholarship, around 1,500 new students will be chosen to receive this opportunity.

While many people searching for scholarships may not know that Princeton University was the first higher education institution that had successfully eliminate student loans from their financial aid packets. Luckily, more than 15,000 graduate students have been able to benefit highly from Princeton’s scholarship programs.

Applying to Princeton

The only step students will need to actively take to progress forward towards receiving this Princeton undergraduate scholarship will include the student to either be invited to attend or send in an application form for admissions. The applications are available to fill out starting in Mid-August which will be available on Princeton University’s homepage of their website. November 1, 2023 is when the application supplement or tuition fee payment is requested. These series of test grades will also be needed PTE Academic, TOEFL, and IELTS Academic. The nest step is filling out the financial aid packet which will be needed for students whose families make under $100,000 per year.

The application checklist for first-year students are available. This checklist will go over the additional information where the Princeton Supplement application will need to be submitted online. A graded English or History written paper will need to be presented. The graded written paper is part of Princeton’s application history where students are able to show their skills and passionate nature towards their chosen subject field.

There are three types of recommendations that are needed upon submitting all of the available information. Two of the three recommendations are letters of recommendation which must be written by a teacher. The last recommendation must come from a counselor which is called the counselor recommendation.

Here is a list of official documents needed to apply for admissions to Princeton:

  • Either the SAT where the grade must be above 2672 or the ACT test grade must be above 2588 will be needed.
  • All of these will be needed TOEFL, IELTS or PTE Academic.
  • A high school transcript.
  • A counselor recommendation or the student’s academic advisor will need to fill out the recommednation.
  • Two recommendation letters from two teachers.
  • A midyear school report – this can be asked of there counselor or school official when the midyear grades are available.
